The NIH says administrative cost are 148 billion, with Private insurance being 14.1%, medicare being 5.2% and medicaid being 7.3%
So even lowing private insurance administrative cost( which include profits ) from 14.1% down to 5.2% that medicare pays.
Is only going to save around 20 billion a year.
